Planet Earth is vast and full of incredible animals. Whether for their beauty or their peculiar behaviors, we have been able to meet some species that have left us really surprised
One of these rare species, the “camel spider”, was recently discovered by a group of Argentine scientists, whose peculiarity is that it measures between two and four centimeters in length and is capable of feeding on human flesh.
The Gaucha Ramirezi spider was discovered by Dr. Martín Ramírez, an Argentine arachnologist.

The discovery took place between the provinces of Córdoba and Santiago del Estero with the help of special traps, or “drop traps”, a method that does not cause them any harm and with which complex studies will now be carried out to further understand the origins of this arachnid as well as its habitat.
Its ability to eat human flesh without any problem is due to its pincer-like mouthparts called chelicerae, which allow it to squeeze its prey with great force, making it lethal. It is very aggressive and is often mistaken for scorpions or scorpions.
This furry friend has great strength in its chelicerae.

In addition to its carnivorous habit, according to information provided by members of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (Conicet), this type of arachnids are quite venomous and would represent a serious danger to humans if they approach their natural habitat, but luckily, so far they only feed on insects.
This is a little known species, and according to Andrés Ojanguren-Affilastro, biologist in charge of the research, the preservation of the spider known as Gaucha Ramirezi, depends on its environment, which has been affected by the devastation of forests and aridity, so he ruled out that it could reach big cities.

Despite this, the biologist assured and recognized the importance of knowing about biological diversity in order to take care of it.
“It is important to know the biodiversity of our countries to know what our biological heritage is and thus be able to preserve it,” said Ojanguren.
The “camel spider”
The spider in question has been named Gaucha Ramirezi, in honor of Dr. Martin Ramirez, an Argentine arachnologist who was the first to discover the first spider of this type in the country and to publish a doctoral thesis on the specimen in New York, USA.
As mentioned above, the arachnid is between two and four centimeters long and has light spots on the lateral membranes of its body; it has a light brown pigmentation and to subsist it needs to live in optimal natural conditions, since they are extremely fragile and vulnerable.
The “camel spider”
Practically all spiders are carnivorous since they feed on crickets, cockroaches and insects in general. I remember once seeing a video on the Internet about a huge spider capable of eating a small animal, but I don’t think this camel spider has any intention of leaving its natural habitat just to eat human flesh
