In a post on Instagram, the 50-year-old actor shared a photo of the car his 74-year-old mom, Ata Johnson, was in during the crash, and he praised her as a survivor of not only the accident, but lung cancer and more.

“Thank you God she’s ok,” Johnson captioned his post. “Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night. She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated.”

“This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver,” he added. “She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real. Thank you LAPD & LAFD for being so caring & focused. Thanks for staying on phone and talking me thru it all.”

“I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ’em hard, [cause] you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get,” the “Red Notice” star concluded.

The photo the actor shared showed the front of a red SUV Cadillac with one side completely ripped open, exposing the internal parts of the car. It is unclear from the photo if all the airbags were deployed in the crash, though likely.

In 2020, the “Black Adam” star lost his father, Rocky Johnson, following a massive heart attack, Fox News noted.

Reading through the comments, a whole host of celebrities sent well wishes to the superstar’s mom.

“Praise God we love you angel mother!” actor Tyrese Gibson wrote. “Praise God in the name of Jesus you will ALWAYS be covered…. We love you mother! GRACE!”

While James Bond star Pierce Brosnan shared, “God bless,” with a red heart emoji.

Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn added, “Thank God she’s ok!” with a praying hands emoji.
