Man United returned to winning ways in the Premier League by picking up three points against Palace at Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring from the spot, with Marcus Rashford doubling his side’s advantage after the hour mark.
But the Red Devils’ victory was marred as Casemiro picked up a red card following a brawl, which saw him put his hands around Will Hughes’ neck.
However, Man United fans on social media have pointed out Ayew’s actions during the melee, which resulted in no punishment.
He’s seen shoving Fred in the face amid the wild scenes between both sets of teams.
People online want the Palace forward banned as they slammed the inconsistently of the officiating following the Brazilian’s dismissal.
One Twitter user wrote: “That’s even worse than Casemiro’s, so much force in that strangle.”
A second tweeted: “And look at the force Ayew applied and compare it to the force Casemiro used. It’s really poor from VAR.”
A third added: “If Casemiro gets a 3 match ban I hope Ayew gets the same punishment as well. Keep the consistency.”
A fourth said: “And the officials ignored that.”
Another commented: “How has Ayew got away with this????”
As a result of his red card, Casemiro will miss Man United’s next three domestic games. He’ll be unavailable for the back-to-back league games against Leeds United as well as Leicester City.
The 30-year-old will be available for selection when Man United face Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
Speaking after the game, Erik ten Hag admitted Casemiro ‘crossed the line’ with his actions as he bemoaned the inconsistency as he appeared to reference Ayew’s shove.
“Casemiro crossed the line; you saw that. However, I’m unhappy with the inconsistent refereeing; not only this game but also in Palace. They elbowed Martínez and last week with Eriksen,” he said after the 2-1 victory.
“A lot of other players crossed the line, including some Crystal Palace players. VAR didn’t intervene with them.”

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has shockingly revealed his name has been spelt wrong on the back of his shirt for most of his football career.
The Brazil international has established himself as one of United’s most important players since arriving from Real Madrid over the summer.
Casemiro brings trophy-winning experience to Old Trafford after winning three La Liga titles and five Champions Leagues during his time in Spain.
What you likely don’t know is the 30-year-old’s name on his number 18 shirt isn’t actually how his birth name is spelt.
Casemiro’s real name is Carlos Henrique Casimiro. His former club Sao Paulo made a mistake when printing his shirt as a youngster, putting Casemiro instead of Casimiro. It’s stuck ever since.
He told Football Focus: “I remember that I played a game for Sao Paulo and the club got my name wrong.
“They wrote it with an ‘E’. I played really well in that game and as I’m a superstitious person, I said to them: ‘Just leave it like that, as things are going well!'”
Casemiro left Sao Paulo for Real Madrid in 2013 but spent a season on loan in Portugal with FC Porto in 2014. Upon his return in 2015, he slotted into Los Blancos’ midfield and became a mainstay under several managers.
He decided to leave in the summer and fulfil his personal dream of playing in the Premier League for United.

Casemiro was sent off in United’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon after putting his hands around Will Hughes’ neck.
He’d only just returned from a one-match ban after accumulating too many yellow cards in the first half of the season.
It’s the only one of United’s 13 Premier League games he’d missed before getting his straight red against Palace. Ten Hag was asked about how often he’d played this season and if he had any worries regarding injury.
He said: “He’s important but in top football there’s a risk and we know that. We know players get injured and you can’t avoid it. Of course, if you want to be successful in the season you need your key players on board and that’s definitely the truth.
“I think it’s not possible to have two Casemiros or two Christian Eriksens. I think in that part we can be a bit deeper but also I think we said before the season that we want to restore Man United but it will take time. It will take seasons to get back the days when you can compete for everything and for the highest trophies in the world.”
United are currently without Donny van de Beek, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay through injury. They signed Marcel Sabitzer on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day.
The Red Devils return to action against Leeds United on Wednesday evening.
