This is a dry cabin, but there is running hot and cold water at the sink with jugs of water and an adorable teepee outhouse a short walk behind the cabin. There is a shower and laundry house that is only 1.8 miles away. Bring your family, friends, pets, and kids and enjoy this peaceful and original Alaskan log cabin away from it all positioned right on Goldstream Creek with its pond with fish and migratory birds.
The cabin is located in Fairbanks, Alaska, United States. The little cabin in the woods is just off Sheep Creek Road, and feels like you’re away from it all, but yet you’re only 15 to 20 minutes from the airport, 10 to 15 from major shopping, 5 to 10 minutes from the university, and just 1.8 miles to the nearest shower house/laundry facility and awesome local restaurant/bar, Ivory Jack’s. The log cabin is situated on 2 acres of huge old spruce trees, with Goldstream Creek encompassing the vacation property line, along with your very own little pond where migratory birds love to come and go. You do have a few closer neighbors who are all quiet and nice. It is a sweet, safe, and peaceful little Goldstream neighborhood.
You’ll drive back to Golden Valley Drive (the road you turn onto off of Sheep Creek Road) and take it back until you get to Starwood Ct. which is a Y and look for the red metal poppies. You will need a car (or you can also hire taxis and Lyft) to fully enjoy the area. There is ample parking, so multiple cars are no problem. Fred Meyer (groceries, all shopping) and gas stations are only 10 minutes from the cabin, the downtown is 15 minutes away, and you are so close to ski trails and hiking Murphy and Ester Domes (right in the middle of both).
