Alejandro Garnacho showed his rebellious side by debuting a edgy new blond hairdo
Manchester United’s rebellious youngster Alejandro Garnacho has been trolled for trying to be like Paul Pogba with his latest hairstyle.
Garnacho trained with his United compatriots ahead of their highly anticipated Europa League second-leg clash against Barcelona. And the 18-year-old shocked fans with his beach blond hairdo, a complete change from the black barnet he usually sports.
The Spanish sensation was all smiles as his blond short back and sides trim ruffled in the wind. And fans had a field day with the winger’s new hairstyle whilst comparing him to ex-Red Devils flop Paul Pogba who’s known for his regular hairstyle changes.
One fan mused: “Changing hairstyles like Pogba, this won’t make him good.” And a second user quipped: “Learning from the GOAT in haircuts Pogba.”
A third fan declared: “New pogba.” Before a fourth user added: “Hope he doesn’t turn into another pogba spending more time on his hair than playing well.”
And fans goaded the midfielder for trying to be like Paul Pogba with the hairstyle change
Garnarcho’s comparison to Pogba comes after he was spotted sporting the underwear brand of another United legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. In January, the youngster wore Ronaldo’s CR7 boxers while United stuffed Everton.
But fans will be hoping Garnacho’s new blond trim doesn’t affect his form when the Red Devils take on Barcelona in the knockout stage clash on Thursday. Garnacho came on as a substitute in United’s 2-2 draw with the Blaugrana at the Nou Camp.
Erik ten Hag could do with Garnacho’s trickery as his side welcome Xavi’s side to Old Trafford in the return leg. He’s been in fine form this season as United chase an unprecedented quadruple and the club are said to want to tie him down to an eight-year contract.
But they face a struggle convincing him to sign for the lengthy period as his close ones don’t want him to commit to a deal longer than four years. If he does sign on the dotted line, it will be the longest ever contract in the club’s history.
