Manchester United footballer Mason Greenwood is reportedly planning to marry his pregnant partner, with their first child expected to arrive in the summer.
The Sun report that that 21-year-old has told his family about marriage plans with the pair spotted at the five-star Langham hotel in central London this week.
The 21-year-old was charged for attempted rape, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and controlling and coercive behaviour back in 2022. But all charges were dropped as there was “no realistic prospect of conviction”, according to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Having been suspended by United in January of last year, the club have since begun an internal process before determining their next steps.
Speaking following the dropping of the charges, Greenwood said in a statement: “I am relieved that this matter is now over and I would like to thank my family, loved ones and friends for their support. There will be no further comment at this time.”
It was also reported that Greenwood had a face-to-face meeting with club bosses with his current deal not set to expire until the summer of 2025.

United’s statement had read: “Manchester United notes the decision of the Crown Prosecution Service that all charges against Mason Greenwood have been dropped.
“The club will now conduct its own process before determining next steps. We will not make any further comment until that process is complete.”
Greenwood came through the youth system at Old Trafford and became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer at 17 years, 353 days in a Europa League clash against Astana in 2019.
