Wearing a leather jacket, designer jeans and his trusty cap, Klopp looked in good spirits as he gets used to life on Merseyside, ahead of his first game in charge of the Reds next weekend.

The Anfield faithful have taken to Klopp already, after a hugely impressive first press conference on Friday morning.

Speaking about his decision to join Liverpool, he said: “I love football and the intensity of football in Liverpool is very good for me.

“I always thought about working in England because of the kind of football and the intensity of the football, and Liverpool was first choice. Now I have got the opportunity to work here, it’s the best thing I can imagine.

“First of all we have to talk with all LFC fans, talk about what are expectations. Because expectations can be a real big problem, it’s like a backpack of 20 kilos, it’s not so cool to run with this!
