X-Men star Hugh Jackman is getting jacked and eating a mammoth 8,000 calories per day for his reprised role as Wolverine next year after seven years without the claws
Hugh Jackman has shared his mammoth “bulking” diet to get him ripped for his return as Wolverine.
The Australian actor is set to reprise his role as the ferocious superhero in the upcoming Deadpool 3, opposite Ryan Reynolds.
But Hugh, 54, has given his social media followers a peak behind the curtain into “a day in a life” of what it takes to get jacked for the Marvel role.

The X-Men star has revealed he’s now consuming a shocking 8,000 calories a day to get jacked for Wolverine.
He said: “Bulking. A day in the life. Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst… Becoming. Wolverine. Again.”
For his last Wolverine role, the Hollywood star put on 20kg of muscle, reportedly consuming between 4,000 to 5,000 calories per day.
But now Hugh is upping the ante and is going full Wolverine mode ahead of the Disney film’s release on November 8, 2024.
One fan replied: “You’re about to be HUGE JACKEDman.”
Hugh hasn’t donned Wolverine’s claws since Logan in 2017.
The star will be almost doubling his calories for his new role, after revealing his new meal plan across social media.
Jackman’s meals are kicked off with a 2,000cal dish of black bass, veggies, rice, and a herb sauce, followed by Patagonia salmon with potatoes with a sauce at 2,100cals.
But Hugh’s still not full after his 4,000cals and is hungry for more.
He then eats not one, but two chicken burgers at around 1,000cals each, and two grass-fed sirloins at 1,100cals each.
The actor is nearly tripling the NHS guidelines which state that men should consume an average of 2,500cals per day.

One gobsmacked person wrote: “Is that per day? Holy hell. So that’s how much I need to eat to get the body I want? My stomach would hate me.”
Back in January, Jackman told ‘The Late Show’ host, Stephen Colbert that he was building up to eating 6,000cals a day ahead of playing Wolverine.
The actor is now far surpassing his original estimations.
The film marks the first “Deadpool” movie and Jackman’s first time playing Wolverine in the Disney-owned Marvel Cinematic Universe.
