Former Manchester United man Cristiano Ronaldo had fans talking about his toenails after posing for several snaps with UFC legend Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia
Cristiano Ronaldo had fans asking questions about his toenails after posing for pictures with UFC legend Francis Ngannou.
Ngannou, who was released from Dana White’s promotion last week, posted three snaps on Twitter of himself and Ronaldo having a good time. The pair hugged before squaring up for a pretend fight – although it was something else that caught the attention of fans.
Eagle-eyed viewers noticed that Ronaldo’s big toes were coloured black, prompting some confused comments. One fan simply went with: “What?” While another asked: “What’s going on here?”
A third person commented: “Anyone notice Ronaldo has his toenails painted black.” As someone else chimed in with: “Can we please all talk about why Ronaldo has painted his toenails!” A fifth user wrote: “I had no idea Ronaldo paints his toenails.”
It is not the first time Ronaldo has been spotted with black toenails. The former Manchester United winger was pictured with painted digits in 2010 as he relaxed on holiday in New York.

And his little piggies hit the headlines again in 2016 when he was spotted with what appeared to be black nail varnish on them as he chilled poolside at the Setai Hotel in Miami.
It is not clear why Ronaldo paints his toenails black, although fans frequently speculate as to the reason.
The 37-year-old met up with Ngannou in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh ahead of his debut for new club Al-Nassr on Sunday. The former Real Madrid man scored twice for the Riyadh Allstar XI against PSG in the week, but he is yet to make his Al-Nassr bow.
Ronaldo joined the unknown Saudi Arabian side after a blockbuster exit from Old Trafford. The Portuguese star accused the club and manager Erik ten Hag of betrayal, with the two parties subsequently deciding to part ways.
He joined Al-Nassr in December on a contract until 2025. It has been reported that he is now receiving the biggest salary in football at more than £177million per year.
