With the traitor revealed, here’s what to expect from the next chapter of One Piece.
One Piece 1078 was released recently and was a massive addition to the Egghead Island arc as it touched upon various plot points in the story, some of which were being built up for the last few chapters. Finally, the traitor on Egghead Island has been revealed to the fans and now, the most intense section of the arc is all set to begin.

Currently, all eyes are going to be on One Piece 1079, as it is going to mark the beginning of the climax of the arc. With York being revealed as the traitor, the Navy heading to Egghead Island, and Worst Generation running riot in the New World, it is time for One Piece to get more intense than ever before.
One Piece 1079: Vegapunk’s Rescue
One Piece 1079 is going to be extremely important in the Egghead Island arc since York has finally been revealed to the fans as the traitor on Egghead Island. In the last chapter, York revealed her desire to become a Celestial Dragon to the fans and that certainly proved to be a shocking turn in the events of the story. This is especially because the vast majority of the fans expected York to be innocent, especially since she was recently seen being turned into stone by S-Snake. Somehow, York has faked her petrification and that could be explained in One Piece 1079. What’s more, now that York is near Stella, she is likely going to finish him off and, for that, she doesn’t need much time.
This means someone will have to jump to Vegapunk’s rescue and, as there’s no time to waste, this event could be tackled as soon as One Piece 1079. The group closest to York is that of Robin. Robin, Chopper, and Atlas are currently heading towards them so the fate of Vegapunk rests on the shoulders of the Demon Child. Given that Robin has a bounty of 930 million berries on her head, she should be more than capable of taking on York, however, it must be remembered that all the Straw Hat Pirates consider York to be an ally and could, therefore, be taken by surprise. Atlas could potentially lose her life, which would leave Robin and Chopper in charge of the situation with Vegapunk.
One Piece 1079: The Seraphims In Action
One Piece 1079 is certainly going to focus on the fight between the Seraphims and the Straw Hat Pirates. Currently, the Straw Hat-CP0 alliance is fighting two of the Seraphims. Luffy and Lucci are teaming up against S-Bear while Zoro and Kaku are fighting S-Hawk. As seen in the previous chapter, S-Hawk has disappeared and could be headed for the weaker members of the crew. This means Nami and Brook could be in danger and with Sanji already busy, the situation he’s facing could turn on its head. It is also possible that S-Hawk will intercept Robin’s group, which would stop them from saving Vegapunk.
At the same time, Sanji is also fighting against S-Shark. In the previous chapter, Sanji took a full-powered punch from S-Shark to the face without flinching. In One Piece 1079, fans could see this fight continue and Sanji busting out more moves against this superpower. Fans could also see S-Shark display the peak of his abilities and that’s certainly going to be interesting for the fans to see. Regardless, Sanji’s fight is going to be extra intense and it seems like it’s going to be one that everyone will enjoy thoroughly.
One Piece 1079: What Will Happen On Egghead Island
The narrator of One Piece went on to explain a lot of interesting stuff in One Piece 1078, where the massive Egghead Incident was brought up. According to him, Luffy is going to be at the center of a big incident that will take place one day later. This incident is going to be of massive proportions and will send waves across the entire seas. The World Government is uneasy at the moment and knowing that a war is about to break out on Egghead means that the intensity of the following chapters will be high.
The Navy will arrive on the island anytime now and, with that, the massive war will finally begin. Luffy and the crew cannot fail the mission of protecting Vegapunk so they will have to fight with all their might. However, to do that, they will need to be at their very best. One Piece 1079 could see the Navy arrive in the climate zone of Egghead Island and prepare for the Buster Call to wipe out Egghead, just as they did with Ohara. Only this time, the forces are much bigger, made up of 100 battleships, consisting of a member of the Gorosei, Jaygarcia Saturn, an Admiral in Kizaru, and several Vice Admirals. An all-out war is just about to break out on Egghead Island and One Piece 1079 will be key to it. Once the Straw Hat Pirates deal with York and secure Stella, they’ll aim for the exit, which will certainly be blocked by the Marines.
One Piece recently released Chapter 1078. Thankfully, the series isn’t on any known break at the moment and the last chapter dropped on Sunday, March 19, 2023.
