Man Utd star Marcus Rashford spent a romantic night with his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day – but a worried Bruno Fernandes gave his Red Devils pal some cheeky advice ahead of their game against Barcelona
Bruno Fernandes shared some cheeky advice with Marcus Rashford as the striker posed with his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day.
Rashford spent the evening of the romantic occasion with childhood sweetheart Lucia Loi. And to make the moment special, The Manchester United ace covered their home with roses, candles and balloons.
Lucia looked over the moon as she plonked herself on the grinning Rashford’s lap while they cuddled in the intimate settings. In the background of the clip Rashford shared on Instagram, his dogs could be heard barking as megastar Rihanna, who performed at the Super Bowl, blared through the speakers.

But Rashford’s United team-mate Fernandes gave his compatriot some tips for the night that Lucia may not have been happy with. Under the pic that Rashford captioned: “If only the dogs would give us a second,” alongside a crying face emoji, Fernandes quipped: “Save the legs,” with a slew of eye emojis.
And fans gave Fernandes the thumbs up for his tips ahead of United’s busy schedule as they chase an unprecedented quadruple. One supporter said: “Proper advice from a proper captain.” Then another added: “what a bloke.” A third user chimed in: “You’re right bro.”
Rashford’s been United’s star player this season, and his crucial strikes in the Premier League have singlehandedly kept the Red Devils in the title race.
His opener against Leeds last Sunday that was followed up by Alejandro Garnacho’s effort five minutes later saw United muscle themselves into the top three alongside Manchester City and Arsenal.
And Erik ten Hag’s side will need Rashford at his best if they have any chance of seeing off Barcelona in the Europa League clash on Thursday. United are already lacking attacking depth with Christian Eriksen missing through injury, explaining Fernandes’ cheeky plea to his team-mate.
If anything was to happen to Rashford, Ten Hag would be forced to rely on the likes of Wout Weghorst and Antony. Both stars have failed to light up Old Trafford since joining the club this season, although Antony, who joined last summer has had more time to settle in than Weghorst who made the switch to United in January.
