Vegapunk might have an additional body no one knows about.
One Piece is currently in its Egghead Island arc and the story has proven to be very intense right now. Fans were promised that the world of One Piece will be thrown into turmoil after the war of Wano wraps up. That is precisely what has happened and the era is now more turbulent than ever before. Shortly after the conclusion of the war of Wano, fans saw big players make their move.
Blackbeard encountered Law while Shanks went head to head with none other than Eustass Kid. At the same time, Oda introduced Vegapunk, who the fans had been waiting to see for decades. Shortly after the introduction of Vegapunk, however, fans realized that this character was not what they’re used to seeing in One Piece. Vegapunk has many mysteries and his many bodies are a part of them.
Stella And The Satellites
The first body of Dr. Vegapunk that the fans were introduced to was Lilith. At the time, fans believed that Vegapunk could have been a woman. However, it was revealed soon after that Vegapunk actually exists within multiple bodies. These bodies were introduced to the fans soon after and eventually, through another body of Dr. Vegapunk, named Shaka, it was finally revealed that he actually exists in seven bodies. The main body of Dr. Vegapunk is known as the Stella and he has six satellites, each of which exhibits a part of his personality. The very first one is the Good, and he goes by the name of Shaka. After Shaka comes Lilith, who is the personification of his Evil part.
Following her is Edison, who is the Genius of the Vegapunk bodies, and after him comes Pythagoras, the Wisdom of Vegapunk. Pythagoras is followed by Atlas, who represents the Violence within Vegapunk, and lastly, York, who represents Greed. These bodies all work at the same time and this allows Vegapunk to be much more efficient than he would be with just one body. This is expected of a genius such as himself as he is the smartest mind alive currently in the One Piece world.
The Traitor On Egghead
In the Egghead Island arc, the goal was for Vegapunk to successfully escape from the island. Vegapunk knows that his death is very near. He was targeted by the World Government for the classified knowledge that he holds about Ohara and the information related to the Poneglyphs that they deciphered. Somehow, this information reached the World Government and they started sending the Cipher Pol to Egghead to investigate. Curiously, none of the Cipher Pol Paul agents reported to the World Government. As expected, the Government decided that their fears were true and went on a mission to kill every single body of Dr. Vegapunk. To do this, they sent out a force of CP0, consisting of Rob Lucci, Stussy, and Kaku, along with S-bear, a Seraphim created by Dr. Vegapunk.
The Straw Hat Pirates arrived on Egghead at the same time and found out everything there was to know about the genius scientist, however, it was there that things started going awry. Someone was on the island actively playing against the group. This same person was responsible for sending information to the World Government regarding the research on restricted subjects. At the same time, this mysterious person has now ordered the Seraphims to wipe out CP0 and the bodies of Dr. Vegapunk as well.
The Secret Vegapunk Body
As deduced by Shaka, the orders that the Vegapunks are giving to the Seraphims are not working, meaning the order that they’re currently following was given by someone of the same authority as them, or higher. The second possibility cannot be taken into consideration because nobody with a higher authority than Dr. Vegapunk is on the island currently. This means that the one who has betrayed Dr. Vegapunk is one of his own bodies. However, taking a closer look at the bodies, it appears that none of his six satellites is the traitor. Shaka was shot through the head in the previous chapter, while Lilith and York have already been turned to stone. At the same time, Edison was beaten half to death in the previous chapter and was nowhere near Shaka when he got shot.
The same goes for Pythagoras, who was in the company of Usopp and Franky when this happened. Atlas is currently with Nico Robin and Chopper and cannot possibly have played any part in this, while Stella is in captivity. This raises the question of who exactly is the traitor on Egghead Island. The answer to this question could be Punk Records. Punk Records is the giant database in which Vegapunk stores every bit of information that he accumulates. At the end of each day, every single body of his plugs into Punk Records and backs up all information. His goal is for all the world to share Punk Records and, consequently, share every bit of information as well, however, this certainly comes with risks. It is entirely possible that, given the amount of information that it holds, Punk Records has now developed sentience and, thus, started to act based on its own feelings. If Punk Records has deemed Dr. Vegapunk to be obsolete, then it would explain what’s going on on the island and why the Seraphims are not listening to any orders from the other satellites.
