The 6.7-meter-long creature, known as Prestosuchus chiniquensis, lived 238 million years ago. It belongs to the family of reptiles called thecodonts and has a large skull with serrated teeth and a long tail.
Weighing about 408 kg, this carnivore was present on Earth during the Triassic period 250 to 205 million years ago. The dinosaurs then appeared 230 million years ago and became extinct 65 million years ago.

This discovery will help us better understand the skeleton of Prestosuchus and will help to build the skull of the animal more accurately.Prestosuchus was first discovered in Brazil in 1938 by a German paleontologist named Friedrich von Huene.
