Over the past few days, Cristiano Ronaldo haters have been sharing an photoshopped pictures on social media which show the Portuguese star seen kissing a ‘Golden Camel’ award.
The users wanted to mock the Al Nassr star, who is not expected to compete for the Ballon d’Or this season after departing Manchester United to join the Saudi Arabian side.
Mundo Deportivo has reported that users have been posting the aforementioned picture in order to ironically praise Ronaldo every time he scores a goal or has a good performance in the Saudi league.
“Who cares about ‘The Best’ if the ‘Golden Camel’ is better,” a user wrote.
“He is only missing the ‘Golden Camel’, please give it to him already,” another user joked.

While Lionel Messi won the FIFA Best Men’s Player award after leading Argentina all the way to 2022 World Cup, the Portuguese star is not expected to compete for such prizes in the future now that he isn’t playing in a major league.
Despite being at the receiving end of criticism, Ronaldo has not stopped scoring, as he has been performing well on Saudi soil. He has eight goals in seven Saudi Pro League appearances.
