The young Johnson in the sitcom justified his usage of a false name by stating that the name Tomás sounds much cooler and impresses girls. It was shown that girls would call Johnson’s house asking for Tomás and the young Johnson would rush to snatch the phone from his mom.
Dwayne Johnson in an interview explained his reasons for using a false name and stated he had an identity crisis. The Rock admitted that girls would ask for Tomás when they called him.
