Charlie Puth has just admitted that he and Selena Gomez had a brief love affair, but Selena’s mind is always on other people.

Previously, there were many rumors that the relationship between Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez was more than just a friendship. And in a new interview with Billboard magazine, the male singer has just admitted that there was a relationship between him and Selena in 2016.

Charlie shared when talking about the inspiration for creating the song “We Don’t Talk Anymore” between him and Selena: “The only thing that can make a song like that come to life is the fact that real emotions have arisen. was born behind the scenes, and that’s what happened between me and her. This relationship was short-lived, the feeling was small, but it had a huge impact and it made my heart flutter. I’m confused”.

Charlie said of their collaboration: “It’s about a special moment in my life, when someone very close to me coveted the attention of another. I discovered it and did. But I also did shady things myself, causing her to ask me: ‘How long has this been going on?'”.

Charlie further expressed how Selena’s heart was at that time with someone else: “It’s like I wasn’t the only one on her mind. And I realized what was going on, I realized I was engaged. into something”.

However, after their brief, unhappy love affair, Charlie continued to perform their collaboration song: “She evoked a beautiful emotion in that song, I was very happy to collaborate with her. Remember in March 2016, Charlie Puth once uttered  a swear word for Justin Bieber  while singing this song. Not long after, he posted an apology to Justin fans on social networks.
