The Los Angeles Lakers can make history this season if they finish the job and go to the playoffs. After a tumultuous start to the campaign, the Purple and Gold are on the way to the postseason.
If they made it to the big party, the Lakers would become the first time to clinch a playoffs berth after starting the season 2-10.
This would be huge for this squad after all the bad moments they’ve endured all season long. From dealing with injuries, and going through chemistry issues to not having the right cast to support LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers struggled a lot before the All-Star break.
Now, without Russell Westbrook on the team, they’re looking a lot better. The additions of D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, Mo Bamba and Rui Hachimura have paid off for the Lakers, and they’re now ready to make it to the postseason.
Los Angeles Lakers Clinch To 7th Position After Big Win Over Minnesota Timberwolves
After beating the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night, the Lakers woke up this morning with a 39-38 record, sitting at 7th on the Western Conference standings. The Purple and Gold are inspired right now, and peaking at the right time.
If they keep this level, the rest of the West and the league will have problems beating this squad. Recent reports suggest that LeBron James believes the Western Conference is weak and he can take advantage of that.
James had an epic response after the Lakers won this game, hyping up everybody in Lakers Nation.
The turnaround they’ve had this season is remarkable, and the Lakers seem to have fun on the court. They’re close to making history and letting people know that you don’t sleep on this team.
It’s still unclear where they’ll end up this season, but the Lakers are on a good track at this very moment.
