Draymond Green made a bold claim while reacting to the new CBA. The Golden State Warriors player believes that dynasties will be a thing of the past once this CBA kicks in.
In fact, he named his legendary team as the last of his kind during a recent edition of his podcast.
“Quite frankly with this new CBA, dynasties are over,” Green said on the April 4 edition of “The Draymond Green Show.” “There will not be a dynasty. So you all complained about the Golden State Warriors. ‘Oh man, KD came to the Warriors and blah, blah, blah.’ You don’t have to deal with that anymore. But you’ll also lose a huge part of the game, a huge part of sports, which is dynasties being built. So, hey, we the last dynasty. I can’t complain about that. I mean, it’s ridiculous, don’t get me wrong. You’ll always remember us because we’re the last dynasty you’ll be able to speak of because of the way this salary cap is set up. No way the Warriors should be punished like a team that has went out and got players.”
Draymond was really proud of the Warriors for making it to the Finals three years after their last trip, claiming that the dynasty wasn’t over yet. The Dubs have become one of the greatest in NBA history, and their fans know they accomplished something special.
Stephen Curry has been credited as the main reason for this dynasty, but it doesn’t seem like the Chef is enough to keep their championship hopes alive.
Draymond Green Isn’t A Fan Of The New CBA At All
Draymond has criticized the new CBA before this, saying that players once again lost. The 4x NBA champion voiced his opinion against this, blasting the salary cap changes, which he thinks will hurt a lot of players.
Some are happy with the new CBA, and others have shown their disagreement with the details we’ve known in the past couple of days. As you can see, Draymond belongs to the second group and for more than one reason.
