BLACKPINK continues on their successful world tour and recently held their concert at Tokyo Dome on April 8 and 9. This concert, which was planned to be more than double the size of their previous “In Your Area” world tour in 2019, received a lot of attention from local media since tickets sold out at an unprecedented rate, including limited-view seats that opened the day before the concert.

A total of 110,000 fans packed the venue during the two-day event, showcasing the overwhelming power of BLACKPINK, who responded to their fans’ expectations with a passionate and highly energetic opening, performing powerful songs like “How You Like That,” “Pretty Savage,” “Whistle,” “Kill This Love,” “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Lovesick Girls,” and their most recent hit “Shut Down,” the title track from their second album “Born Pink” which led the US Billboard Album Charts and UK Official Charts.

Not only as a group but also with their individual charm, each member’s solo performances heated up the venue. Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa overwhelmed the vast Tokyo Dome with their unique aura and musical color.

One of the most iconic moments was seeing Jisoo performing her first live performance of the title track “FLOWER” from her solo album “ME.” Her unique charm, overwhelming choreography with dancers, and elaborate production that maximized the theme of the song attracted enthusiastic responses from the audience.

The members continued to perform tirelessly, from the original setlist to the encore, showing off their performance prowess once again. The various visual elements that showcase the rich band sound and YG Entertainment’s stage know-how also captivated fans’ hearts. Fans stood up from the beginning, waving their light sticks and singing along until the very end.
