Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly interested in buying a $23million apartment in New York’s Trump Tower – despite the fact he bought one in the same building last year.
The Real Madrid star paid Italian real-estate mogul Alessandro Proto $18.5million for a different flat in August, but is now said to be keen on this second, larger flat.
Both apartments are housed in the Fifth Avenue building named after US Tycoon Donald Trump, who is hoping to become the Republican presidential candidate.
This new apartment is on the 63rd floor of the building and was previously occupied by Trump’s parents.

The ostentatious flat is spread out over 3,700 square feet – 1,200 more than his previous flat – and looks over Central Park.
Previous residents of Trump Tower, who are vetted by Donald Trump before they can purchase a property in the building, include actor Bruce Willis.
Despite Ronaldo’s insistence that he wants to finish his career playing at the highest level, his increased activity in the US property market has fuelled rumours he could move to an MLS club before he retires.
