Taylor Swift’s former NYC townhome is available to rent for $45,000 per month
The residence that once belonged to Taylor Swift, who has recently been in the news due to a dispute with Ticketmaster regarding her “The Eras Tour,” is now available for rent at a price of $45,000 per month.
After “Swifties” singer “All Too Well” mentioned the home in her 2019 song “Cornelia Street,” the property became well-known among the group of people who identify as “Swifties.” The home is located on Cornelia Street.
On the song “I Rent a Place on Cornelia Street,” which was included on her album titled “Lover,” she said, “I say casually in the car that I rent a place on Cornelia Street.”
During the year 2016, Swift resided in the New York City home while the one she owns in Tribeca was undergoing extensive renovations.
David Aldea, who was the owner of the property at the time that Taylor Swift rented it, has previously discussed the first time Swift toured the property before she rented it.
“She walked in, and the first thing she said was, ‘Oh, it’s so crafty,’” Aldea recalled to Vulture. “I’ll never forget this,” she said.”And if you speak Taylor’s language, that translates to “I like everything.” She inquired about the possibility of renting not only the house but also my personal style. So, towels and dishes and glassware and furniture and basically just saying, “Take your clothes and go,” which is exactly what I did. She was an absolute pleasure to work with in every way.”
The listing for the property is currently held by three real estate agents who are all affiliated with the Corcoran Group: Laurence Carty, Irene Lo, and Jennifer Rahilly. The website of the organization claims that the townhouse originally served as a carriage house and was constructed in the year 1870.
