The 2022-23 Premier League will be set ablaze following the arrival of Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez and Erling-Braut Haaland of Manchester City.
The aforementioned duo have already linked up with their new teammates and have hit the ground running days before the start of the new campaign.
Nunez, in Liverpool’s most recent pre-season encounter, against RB Leipzig, racked up four goals in a space of 45 minutes as the Reds thrashed the German side 5-0 – brushing aside his early struggles at the club.
On the other hand, Haaland needed just 12 minutes to open his goal-scoring account for Manchester City, when his solitary goal ensured the Premier League champions pipped Bayern Munich in a pre-season preparatory game.
Nunez and Haaland are expected to spearhead the attacks of Liverpool and Man City respectively in pursuit of both domestic and European glory.
In a photo posted on Twitter, sighted by Sports Brief, the duo spotted similar hairstyles as they continue to go through the paces for the upcoming season.
Haaland and Nunez spotted long hairdos contrary to their usual pony-tailed hairstyles which have become a customary feature on the young forwards.
Darwin Nunez responds to critics with four goals in a pre-season friendly
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Darwin Nunez has silenced his critics with four goals to open his goal-scoring account for Liverpool.
The Uruguayan centre-forward has been the subject of serious scrutiny from rival fans, following his slow start to life at Liverpool.
Nunez, himself, has not helped matters following his wild misses in Liverpool’s pre-season games but the 23-year-old forward bid his time to silence the naysayers the best way he can – netting four times.
