Marvel and DC Comics have been known to get inspired by each other ever since both companies started publishing. Batman and Iron Man share an uncanny resemblance to the other’s persona and what they did in the comics.
Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe has an on-screen presence, DC Comics is enriched with emotions and intensity that has sadly, been rarely represented on the big screen. Talking about Bruce Wayne’s version of Ultron, the character of Failsafe was introduced in DC Comics which nearly killed everyone!

Much like Marvel Comics, the character of Bruce Wayne also made a robot AI that would seem to kill everyone in the mere blink of an eye. Although the story does differ quite a bit, we couldn’t help but also notice the similarities between the two AIs and their satisfaction in ending the world.
Batman will have a tough time warding off Failsafe.
With Bruce Wayne’s code of ethics to not kill anyone, the billionaire made an AI robot that would go off if Bruce Wayne were to ever surpass his limit. In simple terms, the moment Failsafe heard about Batman killing someone, it would awaken and hunt him down no matter who comes in between the two.
In DC Comics, when The Penguin fakes his death and blames it on Batman, the sleeping AI awakens from its slumber to hunt Wayne down. In its journey, Failsafe nearly killed many major characters that wanted to stop the AI and made the great Bruce Wayne fall to his knees. Sharing an uncanny resemblance to Marvel’s Ultron that Tony Stark created, the comics do seem to get greatly inspired by each other.
In the end, Superman came to the rescue to stop Failsafe and that is where the issue ended. The newer comics released give us more details regarding what happened to Failsafe, Superman, and the Batman of Zur-En-Arrh.
The Batman of Zur-En-Arrh Created Failsafe For His HelpThe Batman of Zur-En-Arrh.
Well, we won’t reveal how the showdown ends up happening but what we can reveal is that Batman did and did not create the character of Failsafe. Buckle up folks, it’s time to go down the universal plane.
The Batman of Zur-En-Arrh sent the original Bruce Wayne back to his hometown on Planet X. After taking on the identity of Bruce Wayne on Prime Earth, he took on the mantle of the caped vigilante. Bruce, later on, adopted the identity of the alien and would use it as a sub-consciousness to act as Gotham’s protector without the hindrance of Bruce Wayne’s code of ethics. It has been revealed that the alien version of Zur-En-Arrh created Failsafe in case things went down southwards for the character.
Well, things did not go southwards but the caped crusader has a killer AI on the loose hunting him down through the alleys of Gotham. The story gets continued when the next issue of The Batman Vol 3 releases.
