WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson challenged by YouTube star MrBeast to $100k Rock, Paper, Scissors game.
Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, was at the New York Premiere of his new Hollywood blockbuster Black Adam recently.
It is the latest in a long line of films that the former wrestling star has starred in, along with the likes of Jumanji: The Next Level, Jungle Cruise and Red Notice.
His films often lack critical success, but for the production companies, The Rock’s name brings in the audience and the money. Because of this, he is well rewarded, with fees in the region of $20m a movie.
His reach goes far beyond his acting, though, he also runs his own production company Seven Bucks Productions, as well as numerous other business ventures.
He created the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation, a charity working with at risk and terminally ill children in 2006, and also works closely with the Make A Wish foundation, just like WWE do.
The relationship with the Make A Wish foundation goes back to his time on the set of the Jungle Cruise and continues to this day, as can be seen with this video taken at the premiere with MrBeast.
MrBeast & The Rock play Rock, Paper, Scissors for $100k
MrBeast, who is a YouTube personality and content creator with over 100,000,000 subscribers, challenged The Rock to a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors outside the premiere of his new film Black Adam.
The Rock: Dwayne Johnson & MrBeast’s insane $100,000 challenge
The YouTuber even added some spice to proceedings by offering $100,000 to a charity of The Rock’s choice if he lost.
MrBeast opened with paper, a sound choice, expecting The Rock to live up to his name and chose rock.
The Brahma Bull upset the plan, however, and went for paper as well.
Another draw ensued with a pair of scissors. At this point, The Rock ups the stakes and offers $100,000 of his own money if he were to lose.
The decider ended with The Rock losing and honouring the $100,000 donation. The Make A Wish foundation will be very pleased to receive that, and to further improve their day, MrBeast matched this, even though he won.
Two hundred thousand dollars will enable many children with critical illnesses to create some magical memories with their families and loved ones, whilst also getting MrBeast some good traffic for his YouTube channel and some great publicity for The Rock and his latest film.
