As it appears Mauricio Pochettino is edging close and closer to becoming the next Chelsea manager, Blues fans can start looking at what to expect from the former PSG and Tottenham boss.
Pochettino is expected to come in at the end of the season to take the reigns from caretaker manager Frank Lampard and start fresh once again. He has a very hard task on his hands, but perhaps a link up with his former Spurs favourite Harry Kane might help?
It seems hugely unlikely that Spurs will sell Kane to Chelsea, but you can be sure Pochettino would love to work with Kane again, and Kane work with Pochettino.
The pair enjoyed a good relationship, and Kane’s words to Sky Sports back in 2019 will excite Chelsea fans for more reasons than one.
Kane was full of praise for Pochettino, and mentions how he likes to create relations with his players. Chelsea could really use some of that united front right now!
Kane said: “We are fully behind the manager, we love the way he works. We’ve built a great team and a great unit over the last three or four years.
“He [Pochettino] has a great personality. He’s a great manager, but he’s a great guy off the pitch as well. He treats you like a friend, but he earns that respect from you.
“He’s great to talk to, but, most importantly, he is a great coach and we all want to play for him.”
