The singer was over the moon after she was introduced to Dwayne Johnson.
Adele’s dreams came true during the 65th annual Grammy awards show—and it wasn’t because she took home an award.
The 34-year-old was introduced to the one celebrity she’s always wanted to meet during Trevor Noah‘s opening monologue during the ceremony currently taking place in Los Angeles, California. “And this is one of the strangest things I’ve found out. The person that Adele has always wanted to meet but never have is Dwayne Johnson,” Noah said, adding, “I found out that he’s a huge fan of yours too.”
“I don’t have Dwayne Johnson here tonight, but I do have someone called ‘The Rock,'” he quipped while talking to Adele in front of the entire audience. “Adele meet The Rock, The Rock meet Adele,” he said. The singer completely geeked out upon meeting her favorite celebrity, and fans even loved the moment so much that they shared it on their social media pages!
The CBS Twitter account event chimed in, writing, “Okay, @TheRock and @Adele are the BFF Goals we didn’t know we needed. #GRAMMYs”
Adele is up for seven nominations during music’s biggest night including Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year for her studio album, 30, along with Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Music Video, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for hit single “Easy on Me.” She’s also nominated for Best Music Film for Adele One Night Only.
