DAVID SILVA is a player who will always be remembered by Premier League fans.
But the Real Sociedad star has been carefully preparing for his future – as a winemaker.
Silva is focused on making top quality wine

Real Sociedad fans are praying that he will stay on at the club
The Spanish star won four Premier League titles in the 10 years he spent at Manchester City.
He is also a two-time European champion and a World-Cup winner with over a century of caps.
This season he scored the winning penalty in a 1-0 win over old rivals Manchester United in the group stages of the Europa League.
The legendary midfielder most recently starred in Real Sociedad’s 2-0 win over Real Madrid last weekend.
But, according to Diario AS, Silva is also enjoying a lucrative career outside of football.
The 2010 World Cup winner has a successful wine business.
Four years ago, Silva joined forces with winemaker Jonatan Garcia and launched an exciting new winery called Bodega Tameran, in the Canary Islands.
Guided by his entrepreneurial spirit, Silva bought a farm of almost one million square metres in the centre of his native Gran Canaria.
Successful winemaker Garcia was asked if Silva was a wine fan.
He replied: “Yes, he’s a freak. He is obsessive. When he does something he wants to be the best. It is the same with football”.
Silva declared that his objective was to obtain a high-quality wine.
It looks like he’s achieved just that.
Speaking on his first six references to Expansión, Silva declared: “Above all, they are wines that will tell you where they are from, you will know that they are from the Canary Islands”.
He added: “I discovered this world a few years ago in the usual way: you start going with slightly older colleagues, you try it, you like it, you become fond of it, you get to know”.
His bottle of Baboso can cost up to £150 quid in a Michelin starred restaurant in London.
His first two vintages exceeded 10,000 bottles this year, with the figure set to increase.
All varieties have been exported across the world.
He joins former Spanish team-mate Andres Iniesta in the study of wine.
The ex-Barcelona star also has a winery called ‘Bodega Iniesta’.
Silva has also invested in real-estate.
He owns an exclusive beach club in Amadores and a luxury resort of 88 homes in Arguineguín.
