Neymar Rio Olympics: Brazil hopeful vows to keep on partying and brags about his millionaire lifestyle

Barcelona superstar insists his living the highlife will not affect his performance at next month’s Rio Games

NEYMAR has vowed to keep up his party lifestyle – even if it means playing football the very next day.

The Brazil superstar was banned from playing in the Copa America by Barcelona but travelled to California to support his team-mates anyway.

While his nation crashed out to Peru, Neymar was living it up with Justin Bieber, Lewis Hamilton, Calvin Harris and a bunch of bikini-clad babes.

Now the striker, 24, is back in his homeland preparing for the Rio Olympics.

When asked whether he believed his off-the-pitch antics could harm Brazil’s chances of winning their first football title, he said: “I think you have to start by looking at what I do on the pitch.

“The moment I am off the field it’s my personal time.

“I like to go out and have fun with my friends. I have family too so why can’t I go out to clubs? I can and I will. I am well aware what my duties are the next day.

“I am going to keep going out and I don’t see anything wrong with that.”

The Barca ace then proceeded to brag about his millionaire fortune.

He added: “Imagine you’re 24 years old, earning what I earn and having all that I have. Wouldn’t you be the same as me?”

Neymar is one of the three over-age players in Brazil’s squad as they attempt to win gold for the first time at the Rio Games next month.

He was also part of his country’s side which lost to Mexico in the final at London 2012.

This time round the Samba star insists he has no fear of losing – as that can distract from a desire to win.

He said: “We lost a goal after 40 seconds and so we were behind right from the start. That’s hard. You have to be switched on the whole game. Any detail can be fatal.”

“I am not worried about losing. Being afraid of losing robs you of the desire to win. If we lose, we lose with out heads high and we carry on but if it is up to me we’re going to do everything possible to win.

“I don’t like to lose, losing never crosses my mind, I want to bring that gold medal for Brazil that has been so difficult.”
