The Golden State Warriors lost Game 4 to the Los Angeles Lakers in Crypto.com Arena, and they are facing a 3-1 deficit going back to their home arena in San Francisco. Part of their struggles was due to their late-game execution, as Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both made bad plays down the stretch.
Forward Draymond Green has recently given his take on the late-game shots by Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, refusing to blame his teammates and claiming the loss is “on all of us.”
“Quite frankly, I thought that we did enough to win the game until the last 2 minutes… Our offensive execution wasn’t there down the stretch, and that is on all of us,” Green said on Tuesday’s new episode of his podcast. “That’s not just on Klay, that’s not just on Steph. That’s on all of us. I know everyone’s talking about the Steph shot or couple of shots, or the Klay couple of shots. Quite frankly, I’m rolling with those guys.”
There’s no doubt that teams win together and lose together. There were other possessions during the games that mattered, and it is not only on Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
However, at the same time, it is also up to the stars to lead their team to a win. We will see if Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson do better next game, and hopefully, they win Game 5 at home.
Stephen Curry Is Confident In His Team’s Ability To Come Back From 3-1 Down
Though a lot of teams are unable to come back from 3-1 down, if there’s any team that can do it, it is the Golden State Warriors. In fact, Stephen Curry has already expressed confidence that his team would be able to make that comeback.
“You definitely use it,” Curry said. “There’s a confidence that we can figure this out. Just focus on Game 5, and take it from there. You can’t fast-forward to the end.”But we have a lot of confidence in our ability to take the good things from tonight and protect our home court. That’s all you can do right now. Gotta maintain positivity, knowing how tough this was tonight. But, (there’s) a long way to go.”
We will see how the Golden State Warriors respond to their brutal loss in Game 5. Hopefully, we see an improvement in clutch-time execution, and the Warriors should be able to win, given they are an elite home team.
