Fans of Conor McGregor are eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming Netflix documentary, as the Irishman recently unveiled an extended trailer that has generated excitement among his supporters.
‘McGregor Forever’ is set to be released on May 17th and will showcase the journey the Irishman has been on in recent years.
There’s been particular excitement at the prospect of viewing behind-the-scenes footage following the Irishman’s defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018.
As well as his bout with the Russian, McGregor suggested that the documentary will focus on how he ‘bounced back’ from a broken leg sustained against Dustin Poirier.
In anticipation of its release, the Irish fighter tweeted: ‘McGregor Forever is out May 17th only on @Netflix.

The documentary will showcase his battle with a horrific leg break sustained in July 2021
‘You’ll get a ringside seat for some of the biggest challenges I’ve faced, how I bounced back, and why I’m still the man to beat in the UFC.’
Throughout the trailer, which lasts two minutes and four seconds, footage from his fights with Nurmagomedov, Poirier and Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone fill the screen.
McGregor, along with his long-time coaches John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy, talk over all the footage and piece together the strenuous journey the ‘Notorious’ has been on.
The Irishman, during his narration, says: ‘I’ve been fighting my entire life. It’s what I was put here to do.
‘I’m extremely proud of what I’ve done and motivated to keep going. This life, it’s an up-and-down mental game.
‘I’m gonna fight for me. I don’t let defeat faze me. The true champions rise again.’
The 34-year-old has been battling back from a horrific leg break sustained against Poirier in July 2021, but has been rumoured to be returning to the UFC this year.
McGregor, along with fellow lightweight Michael Chandler, has been one of the coaches for the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The documentary will also focus on McGregor’s family developments and life away from UFC
Traditionally, at the end of every season, the two coaches will then go on to fight each other.
Both McGregor and Chandler are set to face each other this year. However, an official date or venue is yet to be revealed by Dana White and the UFC.
It may be some time before we see the Irishman return to the cage as he is yet to re-join the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
White revealed this year that McGregor’s return will be at lightweight. However, the Irishman has teased a return to welterweight in recent times.
