Kim Kardashian shared an update on her journey to becoming a lawyer.
The reality TV star, 42, revealed that she recently took two law midterms and got straight A’s while speaking to Savannah Guthrie on Tuesday’s episode of the Today show.
‘I’m still studying. I’m actually in constitutional law 1 and 2 right now. It’s my toughest; not the biggest fan of it, I’ve been sharing my struggle,’ she said.
‘But with that said, I took a midterm yesterday. I got 100 percent and then I got a 95 percent on my other midterm. So I feel — that gives me that boost of confidence again just to push through,’ the mother-of-four added.
The SKIMS founder then shared that she will be aiming to take the bar exam soon. ‘Hopefully in the next year or so, I can take the official bar and be done.’

Despite not yet being a lawyer, Kim already has some legal success under her belt.
The Hulu star helped to successfully campaign for the clemency of Alice Marie Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent offense. She’s also been consistently advocating for inmates.
Kardashian previously passed the ‘baby bar’ in 2021, after first opening up about her passion for the law in 2019.
She also revealed that she’d failed that same exam three times before finally managing to pass.
‘OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!! Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection,’ she wrote on Instagram at the time.
‘For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me.’
‘I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!! (I did have COVID on the 3rd try w a 104 fever but I’m not making excuses [winking eye emoji])’
Despite the previous failures, Kim explained remained motivated as she kept her father, the late Robert Kardashian, in mind as she said if he were alive today he would have been her biggest supporter.

Next up! The SKIMS founder then shared that she will be aiming to take the bar exam soon. ‘Hopefully in the next year or so, I can take the official bar and be done’
The First-Year Law Students’ Examination (FYLSX) AKA ‘baby bar’ is a one-day test given remotely in June and October.
Passing the State Bar of California is arguably the toughest in the nation.
Kim explained that since she did not complete her first year of law study in a juris doctor degree program at a State Bar-accredited registered law school she had to take this first exam ‘with a harder pass rate.’
As this is not the traditional path, Kim said that she had encountered a lot of doubters but was more than happy to prove them wrong as she said: ‘I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option and it feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals.’
She went on to thank many people who have helped her in her journey including friend and Emmy winning host and contributor for CNN and former special advisor to President Barack Obama, Van Jones, ‘who talked me into going to law school in the first place’.
Kim began a four-year apprenticeship at a law firm in San Francisco in 2018 and has worked under Erin Haney and Jessica Jackson to complete her law studies.
Kim went on to honor her father Robert who was famously on O.J. Simpson’s defense team during his murder trial in 1995.
She wrote: ‘I know my dad would be so proud and he would actually be so shocked to know that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner.
‘I am told he was notorious for making fun of people who didn’t pass on their first attempt like he did, but he would have been my biggest cheerleader!’

The SKIMS founder finished off the post with an inspiring message for her followers as she concluded: ‘Bottom line is don’t ever give up even when you are holding on by a thread, you can do it!!!!!
‘Set your mind to it and get it done because it feels soooooo good once you get to the other side! [scales and books emojis]’
In March of 2021, Kim revealed on Good Morning Vogue she’s now halfway through her law degree and has just two years left of studying before she can take her bar exam and become a fully qualified lawyer.
She said: ‘I’m still in law school, I have two years left. So I have two years under my belt. I actually am not doing an essay and doing this interview instead, so I’m gonna have to get up really early tomorrow to write like a two-hour essay. So that is really steady and a lot of work.’
