Wrexham AFC owner Ryan Reynolds is still celebrating his club’s promotion to the EFL League Two after a 15-year absence, but he’s also focused on how one of the team’s stars greets Blake Lively, wife of the Deadpool actor.
Reynolds, 46, made an appearance on the Fearless in Devotion podcast earlier this week and revealed that Wrexham striker Ollie Palmer is always shirtless when talking to Lively after games.
“Every time we’ve come as a family we’ve come over we have a walk down to the dressing room,” Reynolds said. “Ollie is always the first one to walk out, completely shirtless, to have a conversation with my wife.
“I’m like, ‘Ollie, put a f—ing shirt on and come back out to speak to her like a gentleman.'”
Palmer, 31, is the club’s most expensive player ever, proving his worth with 17 goals in 45 appearances.

Lively, 35, has stood alongside her husband every step of the way in his soccer adventure, which started in November 2020 when he and Rob McElhenney purchased the club.
Reynolds went on to praise Palmer, who loves when the cameras capture him, and even has off-the-field ventures.
“Ollie is one of the best guys we know, genuinely, and also one of the funniest guys I know and I’m just thrilled for him and his clothing brand,” Reynolds said. “It’s nice to see him soar like that.”
The second season of the FX documentary series Welcome to Wrexham will be out later this year.
