Millie Bobby Brown recently gave insight into her close friendship with Enola Holmes 2 co-star Henry Cavill and the ‘strict’ boundaries he put in place.
The 18-year-old actress was asked by Deadline how her ‘camaraderie’ with Cavill, 39, differs from that of her Stranger Things co-stars like Noah Schnapp, 18, and Charlie Heaton, 28.
‘It’s different because I grew up with Noah and Charlie. I met them when I was 10. So, for me, it does feel like your schoolmates,’ she explained. ‘And with Henry, it feels like a real adult relationship.’

Brown has known Cavill since filming commenced for the first Enola Holmes installment in July 2019.
She plays the titular character, while Cavill plays her famed detective brother, Sherlock Holmes.
‘[We have] like a really good friendship, a really healthy one. One that we have terms and conditions,’ she continued.
What makes the friendship so ‘healthy’ appears to be the boundaries Cavill put in place in regards to discussing their personal lives with one another.
‘I know Henry. He has terms and conditions with me. I’m not allowed to ask about his personal life. It’s like, “Millie, shut up. No.” And I’m like “Understood.”‘

Brown explained that the dynamic is completely different with her young Stranger Things co-stars since they all grew up together over the past six years.
‘Whereas with the Stranger Things kids, it’s different. There’s no boundaries because it’s like we’re all siblings,’ she said.
‘But with Henry, he’s very strict with me, which I appreciate.’
Brown is no stranger to adult friendships as she’s previously discussed her links to rapper Drake, 36, and singer Mariah Carey, 52.

Her bond with Drake has previously faced scrutiny since Brown was just 14 when she admitted to texting with the then 31-year-old music star.
At the Emmy Awards in 2018, she described Drake as a ‘wonderful’ friend that she ‘loves.’ She also stated that she’d gone to him for advice ‘about boys’ in the past.
Many fans criticized the pair’s 17-year age gap and questioned if it was appropriate for Drake and Brown to be communicating on such a personal level.
After getting wind of the backlash, Brown took to her Instagram Story to slam critics for reading into their ‘lovely friendship.’

She told the host that she first connected with Carey after seeing her son Moroccan, 11, dressed as her Stranger Things character Eleven for Halloween in 2019.
Upon meeting Carey, Brown said they instantly ‘connected’ because they both grew up in the public eye.
‘But also I love the way that she leads her life with so much power. And she has so much knowledge, and she’s so wise. And she’s just been an incredible guiding light for me and then we connected,’ Brown explained.
