The tenth film in the Fast and Furious franchise starring Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster crossed the finish line with $67.5 million in ticket sales in the US and another $251.4 million globally, making for an astounding $318.9 million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo.
The large cast includes Helen Mirren, Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot, who returned to the franchise after a decade away.
The action adventure knocked Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 out of the number one position after two weeks at the top.
The final chapter in the franchise starring Christ Pratt and Bradley Cooper, collected $32 million domestically and $48.8 million overseas, bringing its three week total to $659.1 million.

Fourth place goes to Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen in Book Club: The Next Chapter.
