Erik ten Hag has lost patience with Anthony Martial and is ready to sell the Manchester United forward in the summer.
The Dutchman is set to accelerate his rebuilding process during the close season and will look to recruit at least one new centre forward.
Marcus Rashford has shouldered the burden of goalscoring expectation this season but even his form has tailed off during the run-in to the extent whereby he has scored just twice since the start of April.
Wout Weghorst, signed on loan in January, will not be retained, while Mason Greenwood’s future lies away from Old Trafford.

Martial has shown glimpses of his old self this season but his inability to maintain fitness has prevented him from making a telling impact.
The 27-year-old was hooked before the hour mark on Saturday against Bournemouth after another dismal showing.
Martial angered his manager by blanking him and storming down the tunnel before reconsidering his actions and joining his teammates on the substitutes’ bench.
‘I think he played well, he returned to the bench, he’s OK,’ ten Hag said.
‘I think he just shot into the dressing room, I don’t know what you want to make from it.’
According to the The Sun, Martial’s body language has been a source of frustration to the United hierarchy, and some members of staff questioned his decision to wear gloves on a mild spring day during a recent match at home.
United have already drawn up a list of potential new recruits with Tottenham talisman Harry Kane understood to be the No.1 target.
The England skipper has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and with Spurs having missed out on Champions League qualification he could be minded to force through a move,
Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund are also on Ten Hag’s radar but Untied are likely to face competitino from Chelsea for both Serie strikers.
