Angelina Jolie looked ready for summer on Thursday afternoon outside the Greenwich Hotel in New York City.
The 47-year-old Oscar-winning actress looked elegant in a long white sleeveless dress with a V-neck line and stitching over the bodice.
The ex-wife of Brad Pitt – who announced Atelier Jolie the day before – also wore her hair down and carried a purse as she showed off her nifty platform sandals that looked built for comfort. Aviator sunglasses added a touch of Hollywood glamour.
Holding her hand was her daughter Zahara, an 18-year-old who attends Spelman College. Zahara is Jolie and Pitt’s eldest daughter whom they adopted from Ethiopia in 2005.
This sighting comes just three weeks before her 48th birthday which falls on June 4.

The student cut a casual figure in black T-shirt with black slacks, a brown jacket, white sneakers and a bright orange purse. Her hair was worn down as she held on to her cell phone.
Angelina and Zahara were first seen in New York City on Wednesday when they landed at JFK airport.
The were also seen earlier this year in Manhattan as they went to dinner and shopped.
Together Angelina and Brad have a total of six children: the sons are Maddox, Pax and Knox and the daughters are Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne.
This comes after the Changeling star made a big announcement on Wednesday.
The Gia actress shared she is launching Atelier Jolie which will be a space for creative types in the design field.

‘I’m starting something new today—a collective where everyone can create,’ wrote the mother of six.
‘Atelier Jolie is a place for creative people to collaborate with a skilled and diverse family of expert tailors, pattern makers and artisans from around the world,’ added the Eternals actress.
And the former UN ambassador continued: ‘It stems from my appreciation and deep respect for the many tailors and makers I’ve worked with over the years, a desire to make use of the high-quality vintage material and deadstock fabric already available, and also to be part of a movement to cultivate more self-expression.’
Her shades are in place: Aviator sunglasses added a touch of Hollywood glamour and she showed off her nifty platform sandals that looked built for comfort
Inked for life: The daughter of Jon Voight showed off her array of tattoos on her slender arms
Deadstock fabric refers to rolls of fabric that are left unsold by a fabric mill or leftover from a brand’s production run.
Jolie ended with: ‘I’m looking forward to growing this with you. More soon. Learn more at atelierjolie.com.’
Her pal Priyanka Chopra added a red heart and fire emoji.
On her website Jolie shared a signed note.
‘Fashion is an art I’ve had the opportunity to play with over the years. I’ve designed clothes and learned about shapes with many of the best tailors,’ wrote the Tomb Raider star.
Designers often sketch or approve designs, but it is the tailors who make the difference, she noted.

And that is who she ‘truly loves creating with,’ said the daughter of Jon Voight.
Angelina added that these makers rarely receive the credit and respect they deserve.
‘I am building a place for creative people to collaborate with a skilled and diverse family of expert tailors, pattern makers and artisans from around the world. A place to have fun. To create your own designs with freedom. To discover yourself,’ she enthused.
She added her company will use only leftover, quality vintage material and deadstock.
‘You will be able to repair or upcycle pieces from your closet you wish to revive, perfecting fit, breathing new life into what could have been thrown away, and creating quality heirloom garments with personal meaning.’
The red carpet darling then said: ‘We hope to create a community of creativity and inspiration, regardless of socio-economic background.
‘We will spotlight the people who play a part in each creation. We will bring together a diverse team, including apprenticeships for refugees and other talented, underappreciated groups, with positions of dignity based on skill.
She then admitted that she is ‘more of an artist than a businesswoman’ before ending with: ‘I hope to see you there, and to be one of the many creating with you within our new creative collective.’
