This Elephant Family that has fallen into this deep agricultural well has been a constant visitor to this area in search of food. Although the villagers had attempted to rescue the them, that has been failed due to the depth and the muddy condition of the well. So, they have informed the wildlife authorities for a rescue mission. As the elephant family is covered with muddy water, it is raising their trunk out of water so that they can breathe conveniently.

There have been several similar incidents and many elephants have lost their lives by drowning like this in vain. As the elephants is huge, the only way to rescue is to lead them out of the well by cutting down the edge of the well gradually. So, the wildlife officers cut down a canal towards the forest side by an excavator so that the elephants can walk and save their life without a much effort. As the elephants are fully confused to find the direction, the officers lit firecrackers to chase away the elephants towards the forest. Number of giant elephants have lost their lives due to this type of unsafe agricultural wells as there is not a permanent solution for this problem yet.
