Dawson’s Creek star Katie Holmes stepped out with her daughter Suri Cruise for a rare outing in New York City this week and it looked like the teenager is nearly as tall as her famous mum.

Katie Holmes has been pictured on a rare outing with her mini-me daughter Suri and it looks like the teenager is now nearly as tall as her mum.

The Dawson’s Creek star, 42, hit the streets in New York City for a trip to the shops with Suri, 14.

The pair wrapped up warm in cosy coats and matching jeans, and kept their faces covered with masks.

However, they couldn’t hide the striking similarities between mother and daughter.

Suri looked nearly as tall as her 5ft 9in mum and they both wore their long brunette hair down.

She seemed to be clutching an iced coffee and a bag of shopping as she chatted happily to her famous mum.

The couple began dating in 2005 and were engaged within two months following a whirlwind romance.

Suri was born a year later, in April 2006, on what’s believed to be the one-year anniversary of the couple’s first date.

Tom and Katie tied the knot later that year, marrying in a stunning ceremony in Italy, in November 2006.

They were married for six years before the relationship broke down in 2012 and Katie filed for divorce.

The actress is believed to have been granted primary custody of Suri, and they live together in New York.

Katie is believed to have gone on to date fellow screen star Jamie Foxx, but is now in a relationship with chef Emilio Vitolo, Jr.

The pair went Instagram official in December, with Emilio sharing a picture of Katie on her birthday.

He wrote: “The most amazing, kindest, beautiful person. Every time I see your face it makes me smile. Happy Birthday !!! I love you !!”

The Mirror previously exclusively reported the couple first met in his dad’s New York restaurant where he is a chef.

A source said: “Katie, who is not the best cook, asked Emilio to help hone her skills when she moved back to New York as she’d been getting fed-up with always ordering in and cooking the same thing.

“He’s been practically living at Katie’s apartment. They are ­already talking about moving in together.

“He’s also keen to become a dad and have children and with Katie.

“She’s told friends that although it’s early days she’d ‘100 per cent’ have another baby with him.”
