Since announcing her separation from husband Orlando Bloom just over a year ago, rumours have been rife that Miranda Kerr has been dating James Packer.

But a new report in New Idea magazine claims the former Victoria’s Secret model is now being courted by Tom Cruise, and the pair aren’t far off going public with their romance.

‘With James out of the way, Tom and Miranda have exchanged several phone calls and have even met up in secret every time she’s flown into London,’ a source told the magazine.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted a spokesperson for Miranda.

Hollywood star Tom, 52, and Australian casino mogul Packer have been friends for many years.

If the rumour is true it means mother-of-one Miranda, 31, has called time on her rendezvous with the billionaire, after being spotted spending time on his yacht this year.

It also won’t be the first time Mission Impossible actor Tom has fallen for the charms of an Australian woman: he was married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 until 2001.

He hasn’t been in a serious relationship since his marriage to actress Katie Holmes ended in 2012.
