Instead of going for their prey, they always choose to ambush them. They lurk in the shadows, waiting for the right moment to pounce on the unwary victim. Pythons have a useful adaptation that enables them to sense the body heat of nearby prey as well-pits positioned around their jaws. When there is poor lighting, pythons can find warm-ʙʟᴏᴏᴅed species by using these tunnels.

As soon as a python approaches, it immediately grabs its target with its teeth. The prey’s respiration is then interrupted, and as he starts to envelop it with his body, it suffocates. The animal quickly passes away as a result of this squeezing. The python’s hold tightens as the animal exhales.

The act of squeezing does not ᴅᴇsᴛʀᴏʏ bones; it just slows respiration. When the python eventually lets go of his firm hold and the target animal’s heartbeat vanishes from his view, it’s time to devour. He begins by devouring the head of his prey before moving down the body. To help the digestive process after eating, he withdraws to a warm, cozy place.
