This 1934 3 Window Ford Coupe is a Real Street Rod

This mesmerizing 1934 Ford Coupe belongs to Carrie Pedersen from Alberta, Canada. This street rod is definitely a head turner, but be sure not to underestimate this classic by its beauty. It’s fully equipped with a 454, bored and stroked to 496, 10:1 compression, and a Turbo 400 transmission with a TCI 2800 converter.

The motor was done right, Brodix heads, scat rotating assembly, roller rockers and cam, and an Edelbrock air gap performer intake. The block was machined by Les Dyck at Lethbridge Machine and Carrie wanted to give him special thanks for all his hard work.

There was no cutting of any corners when it came to the suspension. The frame was built stout to handle the torque, 2×4 tubing with a 10″ kick in the rear. A Mustang 2 front end was a must. Along with QA1 coil over shocks and tubular upper and lower control arms. The rear end is a narrowed 9″ with Strange axles. Along with a custom built 4 link and Morrosso coil overs. Some serious stopping power was added with 4 disc brakes. Many Classic Car owners overlook their brakes. But Carrie being a true Rodder knew that updating the braking system is part of a complete build.1934-ford-coupe

Now for the aesthetics that make it hard to take your eyes off this amazing work of art. The ’34 Coupe glows from the white metallic with blue, silver and pearl paint done by Ron’s Rod shop in Stavely, Alberta. The Billet Specialties custom wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson tires really set the vehicle off. The well laid out custom interior work done by Quality Upholstery shop really compliments the coupe.1934-ford-coupe-hot-rod

They were taken at the lush Waterton Lakes National Park. One can’t help but admire the restored and customized piece of history, regardless of what your dream car may be. Carrie and her husband have a few other classics in the corral that they have shared with us. Keep your eyes out for those in the near future.
