The anguish of the two freshly abandoned newborn elephants was understandable. Elephants are social, clever, and highly sensitive animals, so losing their mother was upsetting. They were able to relax and find some much-needed calm thanks to a lullaby and a nice person who knows the value of compassion.
These little orphans were living in the Elephant Nature Park near Chiang Mai in northern Tʜᴀɪʟᴀɴᴅ. In addition to helping other species, it is a facility for the rescue and rehabilitation of animals, mainly elephants. Additionally, environmental preservation and educational outreach are objectives.
Sangdeaun Lek Chailert, who established the institution, is the one who calms the elephants. Lek was raised in a rural community two hours north of Chiang Mai where she gained experience with animal care. As a traditional healer, her grandfather occasionally received sɪᴄᴋ or ʜᴜʀᴛ animals from his patients. He begged her to assist them.
Lek has since committed a significant portion of her life to the protection of elephants and other animals, earning the admiration and respect of people all around the world.
Lek transforms a very mellow performance of “Que Sera, Sera” into the ideal elephant nursery rhyme. She comforts one of the baby elephants, and in return the trunk smiles at her. The second one passes the first before collapsing to the ground and dozing off. Lek emphasizes the necessity of the elephants’ mental well-being while also highlighting the value of giving them food, water, and medical care.
