Sergio Aguero made his return to the football pitch on Sunday as he appeared in Gerard Pique’s Kings League.
The Argentine, considered one of the best strikers of the 21st century, was forced to retire from football in 2021 at the age of 33.
Aguero was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia after suffering from chest discomfort during a Barcelona match.

Aguero made his return to football this weekend when he featured in Gerard Pique’s Kings League.
The Kings League is a seven-a-side tournament with 12 teams where each side has a squad of 12 players. Games are 40 minutes long.
Aguero was named a team captain for KuniSports.
The identity of the 12th player for KuniSports had not been revealed.
Pique had previously stated that the player would be an individual who had both played in Spain’s Primera division as well as the Champions League.
The identity of the player was revealed on Sunday and it was none other than Aguero.
The 34-year-old dressed up as the Joker before taking his mask off and revealing his identity.

It didn’t take Aguero long to show his class on his debut.
The Argentine featured for his side in their match against Porcinos FC.
He managed to score a beauty on his first outing in the tournament.
Aguero controlled the ball on his chest, swivelled and fired a left-footed strike that nestled in the bottom corner.
The former Man City and Barcelona striker than decided to celebrate like his good friend, Lionel Messi.
Aguero ran to the corner and cupped both of his hands over his ears while looking towards the commentary booth.
The celebration was reminiscent of Messi, who did the same in the direction of Louis van Gaal after scoring for Argentina against Netherlands in the World Cup.

Aguero’s side managed to come from 2-0 down to level at 2-2 and take the game to penalties.
But KuniSports came up short on spot-kicks.
Aguero missed his penalty as his effort came off the post.
Still, it’s great to see the 34-year-old back on the football pitch and doing what he does best.
