At just over 35 weeks pregnant, Michella from Copenhagen, Denmark, gave birth to her triplets by “s” s.
While the new mother was pregnant for the third time, she already had two girls. She didn’t hold back when sharing with her 260,000 Instagram followers the lovely but challenging experience of having triplets.
“The strangest 36 hours of my life were with the birth of the triplets.”
It was stated by the influencer that she wanted to “curl up in a corner and cry over how unimaginable this all looked to her.” She claimed she was “scared like crazy” in a video she shared the night before giving birth to her triplets, which has received thousands of likes and comments.
She said: “It feels so surreal preparing to welcome three babies and I feel like I can’t handle it all. I just can’t imagine it. I have bad thoughts. I can do it, Will they succeed? But luckily, I know that the only thing that matters to me is that my babies will be 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 tomorrow. And on that, I can say we succeeded. I kept them for over 35 weeks. And now we really can’t do more than hope for the best.”
She also revealed that her doctors had discovered that ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ had accumulated in her uterus, which her body was unable to expel, increasing the ʀɪsᴋ of ɪɴꜰʟᴀᴍᴍᴀᴛɪᴏɴ and that she now plans to undergo a ᴄᴜʀᴇᴛᴛᴀɢᴇ.
After welcoming her triplets, the influencer called the 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 the “wildest 36 hours” of her life. “I’m in terrible ᴘᴀɪɴ,” she wrote. “And right now I can’t imagine myself out of this nightmare. Luckily, lying down with three adorable boys on your chest helps. Yes, I already had the pleasure of having it all together, and it was magical.”
In the end, Michella said it was all “worth it” and her heart is “about to break with happiness and love” for her triplets. “There is an emptiness in my belly, but my heart and my hands have never been so full of love and happiness,” she wrote on Instagram. “My boys are amazing. That’s about how I can sum it up. It’s peaceful and we’re totally in love.”
In a post she shared 10 days after giving 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, Michella opened up about her post-𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 body and admitted that although her belly has “shrunk significantly,” she still feels very uncomfortable. “It’s already shrunk significantly, but it’s heavy and incredibly painful,” she explained. “C-sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴs are not uncomfortable unless I have to cough, sneeze or (God forbid) throw up. But my bowels are rolling in this big belly, which is uncomfortable and ᴘᴀɪɴꜰᴜʟ. My uterus is just under the skin and is extremely sensitive – the slightest touch bothers me. And for the past few days, my stomach looks like a big black mark. It hurts even when I breathe.”
What is it like to raise 5 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren?
She also talked about the struggles of raising five 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren at once. “Oh, you have no idea how much I’ve cried, how torn I’ve felt, how tired and how much I’ve given up over the last few days,” she shared on Instagram. “It is indescribably difficult to have two three-year-olds and three premature babies. Much harder than I had imagined.
My daughters are angry, incredibly bored and just plain unruly and rude. They miss us and certainly feel disappointed to some extent. And it’s completely understandable. So I am torn between two completely different sets of 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren and two different needs. I want to go home to my girls, give them love and security. But I also want to give my boys the best start in life and myself the best start in breastfeeding. These cannot be done at the same time.”
