The woman gives her a second chance at life.
Serenity may not resemble other dogs. But she exudes the enthusiasm and vitality of a playful puppy. Because she is content and is finally receiving the love she deserves, she doesn’t care what the rest of the world thinks of her.
This Siberian husky, 4-year-old, was found wandering about San Antonio, Texas. She didn’t get the loving home she deserved because of the big tumor on her face. In order to offer her a second chance at life, Dallas Dog Rescue Rehab Reform moved her to Dallas, Texas.
Meet Serenity!
Patti Dawson, Serenity’s foster mother, noticed right immediately that the puppy was a happy puppy. The dog approached her and give her kisses, expecting petting in return. But unfortunately, Patti Dawson doesn’t know how long Serenity has left in this world.
The veterinarian confirmed that Serenity’s aggressive tumor has invaded her face’s bones. It entered her nasal cavity and covered her skull’s eye sockets. Thankfully, she can still breathe, see, and eat.
Some dog lovers worry that Serenity might be in agony, but according to Dawson, the puppy has not yet displayed any signs of discomfort. She is aware, though, that things might alter in the future.
“We didn’t get the news we wanted, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to stop loving her and giving her the life she deserves,” said Dawson.
Ms. Dawson made the decision to make Serenity’s remaining time very unique as a result. With scrumptious meals and a ton of playing, she spoilt her. In order to entice people to donate to her care, she even hired a photographer to shoot stunning images of Serenity.

Living your best life
Serenity was captured in these gorgeous pictures by animal photographer Renee Dowhaniuk. The puppy rose to fame when the shelter posted pictures of them online. Everyone wanted to support Serenity in any way they could since they were intrigued by her narrative.
“I don’t believe you should take a sad picture. I believe you should take a picture of the full potential and do everything you can to capture the spirit of the animal,” Dowhaniuk said. “That girl, as soon as we lifted her out of Patti’s vehicle and set her down, that nose was working and the tail was wagging.
Donations soon began pouring in like crazy. More than 300 packages containing presents for Serenity were sent to the shelter. The puppy is now ecstatic every time she receives a delivery. She will live a life of true luxury, as she deserves.
Dawson said that when Serenity tells her that her time has come, she will say goodbye. But for now, the pup will continue to live her best life in her loving foster
