Real Madrid face the rich English team for the 22-year-old star, one of the best wingers in the world

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to battle Newcastle United for Napoli winger Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is one of the hottest properties in Europe at the moment.

Real Madrid set to rival Newcastle for 22-year-old superstar, who is one of the world's best wingers

The Georgia international has been in incredible form this season, attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs on the continent.

Napoli are unlikely to let their star man leave easily, though, so a ginormous bid may be required to lure Kvaratskhelia away from the Diego Maradona Stadium.

The Italian giants are currently 15 points clear at the top of Serie A and look almost certain to clinch their first league title since 1990.

Kvaratskhelia has played a big part in their success. So far, the winger has scored 11 goals and made 14 assists in all competitions for Napoli, averaging 1.04 goal contributions per match.

With that in mind, it’s unsurprising to see so many clubs interested in him. Now, according to Corriere dello Sport, Real Madrid are set to rival Newcastle for his signature.

The youngster arguably has the quality to turn Eddie Howe’s team into title contenders next season, so he will be desperate to get a deal over the line.

However, signing him may prove difficult. Napoli are understandably very reluctant to let the Georgian leave, so it could take an offer of around £100m to secure his services, according to reports.

Newcastle have plenty of money to spend, though, so a sensational summer switch is definitely not out of the question.

Kvaratskhelia could make Newcastle a different force

The Magpies have also been fantastic this season, currently sitting in fourth place in the Premier League table and in with a real chance of qualifying for the Champions League.

The likes of Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton have been key in supplying the goals, while Howe’s side have also been solid in defence.

However, if they want to consistently challenge at the top of the Premier League, they still need to make more top-quality additions.

The Tynesiders brought in Anthony Gordon in January for £40m, who has impressed in his first couple of appearances, but Kvaratskhelia would truly take them to another level.

However, the prospect of joining Real Madrid is obviously a huge draw for any footballer, so Newcastle may have a challenge on their hands to beat them to the Georgian.

As well as them, Liverpool and Arsenal have also previously registered an interest in signing Kvaratskhelia, so Newcastle could definitely have a bidding war on their hands this summer.

As mentioned, Napoli have previously put a £100m price tag on the prolific winger, but if he can continue his stunning form, he could end up being worth even more.

Kvaratskhelia would likely only want to join a club competing in the Champions League, so the remainder of Newcastle’s season may be key to his future.
