Erling Haaland is reportedly close to agreeing a new deal with Nike but is still seeking a lucrative offer to stay with the manufacturing giants.
The Norwegian striker has gone from strength to strength since signing for Man City in the summer and has had a prolific season in front of goal, notching 33 goals in all competitions.
The former Borussia Dortmund star will be doing all he can to ensure that his form doesn’t falter for his side and, as a result, has opted to stay with Nike as his boot sponsors.
According to the Athletic, Haaland has been weighing up his potential options and is now expected to sign a contract renewal with manufacturing giants Nike.
However, the outlet also claim that Haaland’s team expect a package worth about £20million ($24m) per year in order to stay with the American company.

The Norwegian has worn Nike boots even since his deal came to an end in January this year
The 22-year-old’s most recent deal with Nike expired in January 2022, which drew attention from fellow manufacturing giants Adidas and Puma.
It’s understood that both companies have submitted lucrative proposals to secure his services despite his desire to re-sign with Nike.
Both companies also have a close relationship with Haaland off the pitch but, despite this, it’s understood that the Man City star will stay with Nike.
Puma are City’s current kit manufactures and will remain that way until 2029, whereas Adidas’ chief executive Bjorn Gulden remains close friends with Haaland’s family.
But, Puma may be less concerned about signing Haaland after they secured the capture of City team-mate Jack Grealish, who had previously been signed to Nike.

Despite his deal running out with Nike last month, Haaland has regularly appeared wearing Nike boots in matches – leading to suggestions he will stay with them.
Haaland wore Nike boots during their recent 4-1 win over Bournemouth, where he broke City’s single-season goalscoring record in the Premier League.
On the half hour mark of City’s trip to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, Haaland struck to double the visitors’ advantage.
The forward has now scored 33 goals in 33 appearances for City in all competitions this season as he continues to flourish under Pep Guardiola.
