The people who lived on Earth thousands of years ago created works of massive scale and very elaborate.
Scientists have spent centuries trying to find answers to the questions of who, why, and how they were built. There are many different theories put forward, some even think that it is the work of supernatural forces from extraterrestrial.

According to local people, this rock was built by the shaman Merlin. In fact, Stonehenge appeared before Merlin – a confidant of King Arthur – was born.
How can one transport extremely heavy blocks of stone from a place hundreds of kilometers away? The area around Stonehenge had no place for quarrying, meaning that the stones had to be transported from a great distance.
The purpose of this construction is also unclear. Whether it is an astronomical observatory due to the location of the rock holes in line with the celestial bodies in the solar system, or a place of prayer to the gods when the Celtic priests used it, we still do not know. be exactly who used it for what.
2. Baalbek, Lebanon
The giant temple in Lebanon has caused headaches for scientists for centuries. (Photo: Anton Ivanov).
A temple belonging to an ancient architectural complex in Lebanon is the remains of a city that flourished in a single period.
There are still many unanswered questions surrounding these ancient temples. The ancient Romans did not have the technique to carry blocks of stone weighing up to 1,000 tons and build this huge temple.
The Athenian Parthenon in Greece is about half the size of this huge Lebanese temple, and the largest stone block in the Egyptian Pyramids weighs only 90 tons. Many natives believe that this temple is the foundation of the great biblical tower of Babel.
3. Newgrange, Ireland

Although the construction company built a road running inside this structure since the 17th century, it was not until three centuries later that people began to study the mystery of this structure.
Great excavations have found, perfectly circular passages that are older than the Pyramids of Egypt. In the center, scientists found tombs.
If you have the opportunity to visit Newgrange, you will see that the astronomical events that take place are completely coincidental if observed from the inside. The rays of the stars will fill the rooms. Irish folklore has it that this place is the abode of elves and fairies.
4. Celts’ Grave, North Caucasus, Russia
The graves, though small, are extremely large in Russia. (Photo: mariakraynova).
This is a small tomb, built of very flat ground stone, on a mountainside. This tomb has small holes that can be closed with lids of the same size. It would not be noticeable if these structures had a mass in tons.
More specifically, the structures are connected to each other so precisely that they do not need beams or other materials to join. The age of this building is 5000 years.

One of the largest inhabited areas of the Mayans. Surrounded by green forest, this place has artificial ponds, a large field, a playground for folk sports, and a palace.

7. Petra, Jordan
It is hard to believe that the ancient people sculpted a temple gate more than 900 meters high entirely by hand. (Photo: Pocholo Calapre).
A structure more than 900 meters above sea level is hidden in the rocks. Its creators had to be very patient when chiseling out a large block of stone to create such a masterpiece.
This is believed to be the entrance to an ancient temple or mausoleum. Other than the purpose of creating it, researchers still do not know how the ancient people created it, unless using scaffolding, they cannot seem to carve the stone at such a height.

What is surprising to scientists, is that the statues are created to be life-sized and accurate to every detail. Thousands of faces are all different, it is impossible to find two the same face.
During excavations in the 1970s, scientists had to be very careful in the process. An ancient myth is told about this tomb, that it is associated with the deceased Emperor from the afterlife.
Built a long time ago, but it was not until the 19th century that Westerners knew about this great work. (Photo: lastdjedai).
The West did not know about this wonderful building until the 19th century. Western scholars were amazed by this Khmer architecture.
The walls are so dense, it’s impossible to find crevices. The stones are very flat, they are built and calculated to be able to withstand the total mass of the building.
This is a complex of works with 200 temples placed in pre-calculated positions, so that tourists can only see three of them from any angle. The drainage way is also built very scientifically, when the rainy season comes, the water will flood the drawn places and turn this area into an island in the middle of the vast sea.
