There was only one way Cristiano Ronaldo was arriving in Saudi Arabia and that was in style – taking a private jet with a double bed which WAG Georgina Rodriguez tried for size
Cristiano Ronaldo jetted in for his Al-Nassr unveiling on a private jet so big it even had a double bed on board.
The 37-year-old and his family, who have been living in Madrid since his Manchester United exit, arrived in Saudi Arabia yesterday (January 2). They flew in style with Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez sharing snaps from inside the aircraft.
The WAG uploaded a series of images for her 43.7million Instagram followers, including one which showed her lounging on a plush bed which had plenty of room for her beau to have joined her.
After touching down in Riyadh, Ronaldo was greeted by four children wearing Al-Nassr shirts and given a bouquet of flowers before heading to a luxury hotel in the city centre.
He’s today completed his medical at the club’s training facilities and is set to be presented to the fans at an open training session ahead of a potential debut later this week when they host Al Taee.
According to the AFP news agency, Ronaldo has been joined in the Middle East by not only his loved ones, but also “a big team of assistants and even a private security firm”.
The move, which has seen him sign a two-and-a-half-year deal worth a reported £177million a year, has earned him criticism from many football fans who claim he has tarnished his legacy.
But Ronaldo insisted he was “thrilled for a new experience in a different league and a different country” after he was announced as an Al-Nassr player last week.
He added: “The vision that Al-Nassr has is very inspiring. I’m very excited to join my teammates, and to help the team to achieve more success.”
