With the navy arriving on Egghead Island, Oda teases fans about an important coming event.
One Piece’s Egghead Island arc continues going strong and, over the last few chapters, Oda has slowly been building up towards the climax of the arc. Currently, Luffy and the crew are on egghead and their goal is to escape from the island with Dr. Vegapunk safe and sound. While this seems easy, it must be remembered that heading towards them is a navy fleet of 100 battleships led by Admiral Kizaru, who also has one of the Five Elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn on board.
At the same time, there seem to be many problems on the island itself with the Seraphims causing all sorts of trouble and one of the satellites of vegapunk having betrayed Stella. With all the drama going on down on Egghead, Oda recently revealed in chapter 1078 that this was merely a taste of what’s to come. There appears to be a bigger incident that will follow and send waves across the world of One Piece and fans should brace themselves for it.
The Egghead Incident
The Egghead Incident was recently brought forward by the narrator of One Piece in chapter 1078. This event is yet to pass, however, Luffy and the crew are just one day away from it and it is going to be something truly massive that shakes the very foundation of the One Piece world. While the Egghead Incident is one day away, the foundation for this incident was set nearly 3 months ago. In One Piece 1078, It was revealed to the fans that York, one of the satellite bodies of Vegapunk made contact with the Five Elders 3 months ago. She mentioned to them that Vegapunk was carrying on the research of the people of Ohara and trying to dig deep into the events of the Void Century as well.
After hearing this, the World Government mobilized CP5 and sent them to the island for questioning. On their way back, they were, somehow, attacked by York and captured. Seeing that the CP5 did not return, the World Government then sent CP7 and CP8, however, the same thing happened again. Shortly afterwards, York contacted the Five Elders once again and revealed to them all the details of the studies going on on Egghead Island. Following a lengthy discussion, the Five Elders came to the conclusion that Vegapunk had truly betrayed them and that his death was necessary. To fulfill this goal, the world government mobilized CP0 which included Lucci, Stussy, and Kaku. However, they also sent one of the elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn with them.
As their military force, the World Government mobilized 100 Navy battleships which consist of several powerful Vice Admirals, led by Admiral Kizaru. For any force in the world of One Piece, combating such a giant fleet would be next to impossible. However, to Vegapunk’s surprise, the Straw Hat Pirates arrived on Egghead Island at the right time and this gave him an opportunity to escape. This also set the basis for the famous Egghead Incident that is yet to come, however, is merely a day away. Fans do not know what this incident entails, however, what is known is the fact that Luffy is certainly going to be central to this major incident that will shake the entire world.
What Could Happen On Egghead Island
Fans do not know what the Egghead Incident truly is just yet. However, it isn’t too hard to figure out what could come to pass in the next few chapters of One Piece on Egghead Island. With a massive fleet headed the way of the Straw Hat Pirates, war is on the cards. The Navy have not fought against the Straw Hat Pirates in quite a while and this will give fans an opportunity to witness this incredible combat. It can be said, without any doubt, that Luffy will lead his group into war against the Navy. The main fighters from the side of the Navy are going to be Admiral Kizaru and, possibly, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. There are several ways this good and, however, judging by the fact that the Egghead Incident is something so massive that it sent ripples across the One Piece world, the most outrageous possibility must be the true one.
With that in mind, the likeliest conclusion of the Egghead Incident is for the Navy to suffer heavy defeat at the hands of the Straw Hat crew. This means Luffy and his group will take down Admiral Kizaru and weaken the Navy by quite a big margin. That is not all. This also implies that the straw hat pirates will take down one of the members of the Five Elders, Saint Jaygarcia Saturn. This is utterly unprecedented in the world of One Piece and has never come to pass possibly even in centuries. The fall of Saturn and the defeat of the Navy at the hands of this group would certainly send shivers across the entire world. Following the defeat of Saturn, Luffy could possibly challenge the entire World Government and threaten to go to war with them. This would make the Egghead Island incident a setup for an even bigger war to follow and, Oda has already set that up several times in his past interviews.
